How to Decide Where to Live

You’re faced with many choices in life, and deciding where to live is one of the most important. It affects almost every other aspect of your life, but there is no need to panic. We’ve put together a simple list of some key factors to consider when making this crucial decision.

  1. Employment Options

One of the best things you can do when deciding where to live is to survey the local job scene. Make sure the area you are moving into has a stable and growing economy that will afford you the options you need to make a living. In Weaver’s Pond, we benefit from being very near the Triangle area, which is a bustling hub of commerce that provides many employment options.

  1. School System

For parents (or those planning on becoming parents in the future), the local school system is a very important factor when deciding where to live. You want to make sure that your children are given the best possible education, and that means you need to move to an area that has a good public school system. Even if you choose to enroll your child in private school, a more competitive public education system is never a bad thing. Weaver’s Pond is part of the Wake County Public School System, which recently ranked 5th in the state!

  1. Nearby Airport

This one may seem like a stretch at first glance, but having an airport near your house can make modern life a lot easier—especially if you have a job that requires frequent travel. Not only that, but it makes trips to visit family or embark on a much-needed vacation that much more efficient. Of course, at Weaver’s Pond, we are only about half an hour from Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

These are not the only factors to think about when deciding where to move, but they are a good start. Other important points to consider include the local culture, crime rates, nearness to family members, and more. To learn more about our community, check out our Community page.
