One of the best things about Weaver’s Pond is that, by virtue of its location in Zebulon, it is secluded enough to be private while still being close enough to the larger Raleigh area to make events accessible. If you’re looking for amazing outings this July, we have provided a list of scheduled events that are within half an hour’s drive of your front door.
Carolina Mudcats Games
Baseball season is in full swing for the Carolina Mudcats, and they have games throughout the month. Starting with the July 4-8 matchup against Frederick Keys, you can bring your family and friends to watch the games, eat the snacks, and take in the beautiful sights of Five County Stadium.
Summer Exhibition at Artspace
Located in downtown Raleigh, Artspace is a nonprofit visual arts center that is widely known throughout the Southeast. This summer, beginning on July 2nd, the center will play host to Artist-in-Residence Dana Lynn Harper, who will be using strung-up pom-poms to capture the light in a gallery-wide display. If you love art, a mesmerizing experience is only half an hour away at Artspace.
Midtown Beach Music Series
Featuring shag dancing and free admission, the Midtown Beach Music Series is a tradition that, in its second decade, has become a staple of the Raleigh area. One of the few local free concerts, the series will host Too Much Sylvia on July 19th. Come down, cut a rug, and have a blast with friends and family. The series also has an extensive list of bands performing throughout the summer, so you can come back for more as you like.
